LIFELONG PASSION FOR FILMS

Alejandro Figarella is a filmmaker from Venezuela. He moved to the United States to pursue his dream of making movies. Alejandro has written, directed, produced, and edited short films in a vast array of genres: from comedy to drama, from experimental to horror/thrillers. His dream is to create thrilling stories that inspire his audience.

Alejandro has specialized in film and video editing. After graduating Valedictorian in a Film Bachelor of Science degree, he worked at SkyStorm Productions. Using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, Alejandro edited over 300 different institutional videos, documentary interviews, and commercials. During his time at SkyStorm, Alejandro completed projects 50% ahead of schedule. This multiplied the production capacity of the company and made Alejandro important during times of heavy deadlines.

In his Film Production MFA, Alejandro produced a thesis short film, Turtle Love, with a budget of $5000 and a crew of 60 people. He also got the opportunity to perfect his abilities in Avid Media Composer by working as the main editor for Magic Mouse, another thesis film. Alejandro plans on continuing working in editing in postproduction. His goal is to move to Los Angeles in 2018.
